from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Austria took part in the 20th Nordic World Ski Championships , which will be held in Falun in Sweden from February 13 to 21, 1954 , with a delegation of 8 athletes (4 ski jumpers, 4 cross-country skiers).

The outstanding result was Josef Bradl's 10th place in ski jumping . The Salzburg resident, who was still in 5th place after the first run, gave an even better placement due to a mistake in the second run. The other ski jumpers as well as the cross-country skiers achieved the expected placements beyond the first 30.

The Austrian Ski Association did not provide any entry for either the cross-country skiing competitions for women or the Nordic Combined .
