Austria took part in the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France, with a delegation of 76 athletes, 63 men and thirteen women.
Since 1924 it was Austria's tenth participation in the Winter Olympic Games .
Flag bearer
The figure skater Emmerich Danzer was chosen as the flag bearer of the Austrian team for the opening ceremony.
