Romania took part in the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France, with 30 athletes, 29 men and one woman.

It was Romania's eighth participation in the Winter Olympics since 1928 .

Flag bearer

The figure skater Beatrice Huştiu carried the flag of Romania during the opening ceremony.

Medals

With a bronze medal won the Romanian team finished 15th in the medals table .

Ion Panțuru and Nicolae Neagoe won bronze in the two-man bobsleigh, the first Romanian medal ever at the Olympic Winter Games.
