Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 / Participant (Austria)

Austria took part in the 51st Nordic World Ski Championships , which were held from February 22 to March 5, 2017 in Lahti , Finland , with a delegation of 24 athletes.

The line-up of the Austrian Ski Association comprised six men and three women in ski jumping competitions , seven men in Nordic combined and 5 men and three women in cross-country skiing . A total of 18 men and 6 women were considered for the world championships.

Stefan Kraft was crowned the first Austrian double world champion in Nordic skiing with the two gold medals in the individual ski jumping competitions. There was a silver medal for the mixed ski jumping team and a bronze medal for the Nordic combined athletes in the team competition.
