Nuno Miguel Pereira Diogo (born June 13, 1981 in Lisbon ), known as Nuno Diogo , is a Portuguese football player . He has been under contract with FC Famalicão in the Segunda Liga since summer 2016 .

Career

Nuno Diogo's career began in 2001 in Sporting Lisbon's second team , which was then represented in the Segunda Divisão Portuguesa , Portugal's third-highest division. In 2002 he moved a league higher to Leça FC in the Liga de Honra , but rose with the club at the end of the season. Nuno Diogo joined SC Salgueiros , who played for promotion to the SuperLiga , but missed it.

In 2004 Nuno Diogo moved to FC Penafiel , who had just been promoted to the SuperLiga. There he was only used irregularly at first and only made the leap to regular player after relegation in 2006 . After the direct resurgence in the 2006/07 season was clearly missed, he returned to the House of Lords by moving to the newly promoted Leixões SC . There he managed to avoid relegation at the end of the 2007/08 season, but could not prevail permanently.

In 2008 Nuno Diogo left his home country and went to the Romanian League 1 to promoted CS Otopeni . There he became a regular player, but could not prevent relegation in 2009 . He then joined the league competitor FC Brașov , with whom he was able to place in the midfield of the league in the 2009/10 season .

Since the summer of 2010 Nuno Diogo has been playing for the reigning Romanian champions CFR Cluj , where he missed the entire first half of the 2010/11 season . After his return in March 2011, he became a regular employee. With the championship in 2012 he won his first title a year later. In the summer of 2013, his contract in Cluj was not renewed. He was without a club for a year before the Portuguese second division SC Olhanense signed him. In the summer of 2015, league rival CD Feirense signed him, with whom he rose at the end of the 2015/16 season . He left the club, however, for FC Famalicão .
