Ożarów Mazowiecki is the county seat of the Powiat Warszawski Zachodni in the Masovian Voivodeship , Poland .
geography
The place is about 20 km west of Warsaw on the Warszawa – Poznań railway line and on the DK92 from Frankfurt (Oder) / Rzepin to Warsaw. In addition, the southern bypass S2 of the capital begins here .
history
The area with fertile soil was settled as early as the 9th century, but the city was only founded in 1967 in place of the previous Ozarów-Franciszków .
According to the first records from the time of Kasimir the Great , one also belonged to the Rawicz coat of arms community founded in the 14th century .
