The main administration in Regensburg and the main office in Landshut were subdivided into branches in Amberg , Neumarkt , Regensburg , Schwandorf , Weiden , Deggendorf , Passau , Eggenfelden , Landshut and Traunreut , which in turn had a total of 125 district offices under themselves. In the course of a reorganization in 1994, the subsidiary and district offices were dissolved and merged into 34 regional centers. The line network was controlled centrally from two network control centers in Schwandorf and Deggendorf.
Own power plants
In the 1950s, OBAG built the power plants of the Jansen an der Pfreimd pumped storage power plant group , which primarily served to compensate for peak loads. She also operated power plants in Lebenau in the Traunstein district and on the Große Ohe near Großarmschlag in the Bavarian Forest . A participation in hydropower plants on the lower Isar existed through the subsidiary OBEG.
Transition to E.ON Bayern
In 2001 OBAG AG was merged with the four Bavarian regional suppliers Energieversorgung Oberfranken AG, Isar-Amperwerke AG, Überlandwerk Unterfranken AG and Großkraftwerk Franken AG to form E.ON Bayern AG, today's Bayernwerk AG.
