O Ses Türkiye (Turkish for “The Voice of Turkey”) is a Turkish singing casting show that has been broadcast since October 2011. It is based on the casting show concept The Voice , which was first implemented in the Netherlands at the end of 2010 under the title The Voice of Holland . The Turkish edition is produced by Talpa and Acun Medya. The first season was broadcast on Show TV , the second and third season on Star TV and since season four the show has been broadcast on TV8 .

concept

In the so-called “blind auditions”, the candidates have to sing on a stage. At first, the jury members can only hear the singer but not see them because they are sitting in a swivel chair with their backs to the stage. You can vote for a candidate by turning to see them during their presentation. The candidate goes one round if he receives at least one of the four jury votes. From among those jury members who have turned around for him, the candidate chooses his coach for the further rounds. In the “Battle Round” two candidates from the same coaching group sing a song in a duet. Only one of the two candidates will advance after the decision of the respective coach. In the live shows, the candidates compete against each other within their coaching groups and are evaluated by both the coaches and the television viewers. A finalist emerges from each group. In the final, only the television viewers decide on the victory. Only here do representatives of different coaches meet.
