Oberlerbach is a district in the Sand district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
The old settlement name Oberlerbach is first documented for the 17th century. The spelling Ober Lerbach can be found in the original cadastre . The yard was owned by the knight's seat in Lerbach and was given to a halfen as a lease . According to the Hebbuch of the Bergisches Botenamt Gladbach, the farm owned 147 acres of land. By 1905 the farm had developed into a small hamlet with three residential buildings and 33 residents.
In 1804 the Oberlerbacher Mühle was built here.
