history

The first documentary mention from the year 871 reports of an exchange of goods in which Bishop Ambricho and his Vogt Immo received goods from priest Alawihus near Ottarpah and Hatzkofen ( Ober- / Niederhatzkofen ) for goods in Holzhausen . The village of Oberotterbach consisted of seven properties in 1752 and was the seat of an executive committee .

The municipality of Oberotterbach emerged from the tax district of the same name in 1818 through the Bavarian municipal edict. In addition to Oberotterbach, it comprised the towns of Breiten, Höfl, Mitterhof, Pfifferling, Reckerszell, Schlamberg, Seidersbuch, Thomaszell, and Wiedenberg and initially belonged to the Pfaffenberg regional court and, after the Rottenburg regional court was established in 1838, to the regional court, district office and finally the Rottenburg an der Laaber district . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , it was incorporated into the city of Rottenburg an der Laaber on July 1, 1972.
