Oberroggenburg Forest

Oberroggenburger Wald is a 6.25 km² community-free area in the Neu-Ulm district in Bavarian Swabia . It is completely forested and uninhabited.
Geographical location
The area lies on the eastern border of the Neu-Ulm district with the Günzburg district and the Unterallgäu district . The northern border to the community-free area Unterroggenburger Wald forms the state road St 2018 . The Hintere Huttenbach, later called Osterbach , rises in the area , a tributary of the beavers that flows off towards Christertshofen . The highest point is 581 m above sea level. NN high. The north-eastern half of the Oberroggenburger Wald forest area of the same name is in the community-free area. The southwest half lies in the area of the neighboring municipality to the west of Buch .

The area is mainly used for forestry.
history
In the south of the area was the former base of the US armed forces clay pit . Since October 1, 2014 this has belonged to the market town of Buch .
