Odd Couple (Original title: The Odd Couple ) is an American sitcom that was produced for CBS from 2014 . The television series is based on the feature film A Strange Couple from 1968 and on the television series Männerwirtschaft (1970-1975). The title melody of the new edition is a modernized version of the original title melody by Neal Hefti , which was recorded by Trombone Shorty . The main roles are played by Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon . It first aired in the United States on February 19, 2015, following The Big Bang Theory .
In May 2017, the series was canceled after three seasons.

Felix Unger and Oscar Madison meet at college in the late 1980s. Fate brings the two together and they become friends. The two found a flat share, although they are extremely different: Felix is extremely neurotic and pedantically correct, while Oscar is bumbling and lazy.
Years later, Felix is a successful writer and photographer and Oscar has become a sports reporter. Both have a failed marriage behind them and they decide to start a flat share again.
