history
Nothing is known about the origins of Oehrberg. Information in calculations from the beginning of the 18th century suggest that it was founded around 1694.
The parish of Oehrberg was founded in 1693 and initially belonged to the parish of Oberthulba , from 1792 to Waldfenster , when the local parish was established.
In 1700, in the context of hat litigation, the lack of an inheritance letter was noted. On June 8, 1701, the affliction report states that there is no letter of inheritance and therefore it is unclear whether the district court of the Count of Aschach or that of Aura-Trimberg is responsible for Oehrberg . Due to Oehrsberg's geographical location, the place was assigned to the Count of Aura-Trimburg.
On January 1, 1972, Oehrberg became a district of Burkardroth as part of the municipal reform. In October 1971 surveys and votes had taken place in the villages incorporated after Burkardroth; of the 119 votes cast in Oehrberg, 100 were in favor of incorporation. Oehrberg's last mayor before the incorporation was Markus Rölling.
