The Oemus Media AG (proper spelling OEMUS MEDIA AG ) is a specialist publisher in the field of dentistry , based in Leipzig - Schleußig . It emerged in 1994 from a freelance training institute .
The publisher publishes over 20 dental and dental technology journals on the German market and five titles on the international market. The publisher also operates a website for the dental industry and organizes congresses and seminars for dentists , dental technicians and dental assistants .
Publications
The two most widely circulated publications are published since 1995 ZWP dentist business practice as a business magazine for the dentist and since 1999 published Dental Zeitung , the specialist trade body the Federation Dental Trade Association The ZWP Dental Economics practice covers with 12 issues a year from the full range of dental practice management. Each issue of ZWP Zahnarzt Wirtschaft Praxis also contains a ZWP special supplement with user reports and specialist articles on a current focus topic. The bilingual daily newspaper today appears as part of large events and trade fairs , such as the biennial International Dental Show IDS . The dental newspaper appears six times a year and serves as a supraregional source of information for the German dental specialist trade on the market and as a guide for product decisions . Since the beginning of 2016, the ZWP Zahnarzt Wirtschaft Praxis , the ZWP special supplement and the dental newspaper have been appearing in a new layout as part of the relaunch.
Furthermore, dentalfresh , which has been published quarterly since 2005, is one of the publishing products of Oemus Media AG. The dental fresh is the Association of Magazine BdZM. With four annual editions, it is aimed at young dentists and dental students and summarizes topics relevant to the target group. These are clinical traineeships, presentations from universities , news from research and technology , as well as business, legal and other topics that are interesting for entering the dental professional life. The publisher also offers specialist magazines on the individual dental sub-areas. Articles from practice as well as user-oriented case reports , studies, market overviews and condensed product information offer the reader a regular medical update . The publications include the Implantologie Journal (eight issues per year), the Laser Journal , the Dental Hygiene Journal , the Oralchirurgie Journal and the Endodontie Journal , each of which appears four times a year. With Cosmetic Dentistry , Face and Digital Dentistry , Oemus Media AG offers current trends and information on an interdisciplinary level. At the beginning of 2015, the entire journal series will undergo a comprehensive relaunch. In addition to a thorough revision of the layout and the expansion of the range of topics in the individual issues, the changes in the Dental Hygiene Journal also affect the title, so that the magazine will appear as a Prophylaxe Journal from 2015 . The spectrum of the new Implantologie Journal - magazine for implantology, periodontology and prosthetics - ranges from specialist articles, the congress events, the areas of research and development, the work of the DGZI to the activities of the industry. In addition, it appears in increased circulation and with increased frequency (ten publications a year).
The publisher is represented internationally with the English-language specialist magazines implants , laser , roots , CAD / CAM and cosmetic dentistry . The world trade publication format Dental Tribune puts the focus on the international know-how transfer and reporting on the latest developments in science and practice. Yearbooks , e-books and compendia on the various fields of dentistry and on the subject of business complete the portfolio of publications.
Online media from Oemus Media AG
With ZWP online , Oemus Media AG has been operating the largest news and specialist portal for the German dental market since 2008 with daily updated information on professional policy, health policy , advanced training , science, as well as the market and products. In addition to the already existing weekly newsletters , ZWP online expanded its offer in 2013 to include monthly updates on special topics in dentistry in the form of their specialist newsletters .
Oemus Media AG was the first publisher in the dental market to bring its magazines to the App Store. This means that Oemus Media AG's print products can be read on the Apple iPad and additional digital content can be used.
Oemus Media AG also has an extensive online shop. At www.oemus.com, in addition to the individual publications on the specialist areas , yearbooks, DVDs, books and other information material for practice and patients are available to visitors. In December 2014, the website was completely redesigned as part of a relaunch. Users benefit from the possibility of online registrations for events as well as a comprehensive archive function for the entire magazine and book portfolio.

Events
The publishing house organizes up to 60 seminars , congresses and symposia annually, which are attended by a total of around 5,000 participants. The advanced training events cover the topics of quality management , dental hygiene , laser dentistry, oral surgery , aesthetic dentistry, periodontology , implantology and digital dental technologies. In addition, Oemus Media AG organizes dentists' days and annual conferences of specialist dental societies. The courses and seminars on the subjects of veneers , injection techniques and quality management follow an interdisciplinary approach .
