Ognjen Ožegović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Огњен Ожеговић ; born June 9, 1994 in Gradiška , Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a Serbian football player who has been without a club since July 2020.
Athletic career
societies
Ožegović made his first steps in the football career at the local club FK Kozara Gradiška and later moved to FK Borac Banja Luka . Then he moved to the Serbian first division club Red Star Belgrade . In 2012 he was awarded to FK Banat Zrenjanin and in 2013 to league competitor FK Voždovac to gain experience. He later moved to FK Rad Belgrade to prevent relegation from the first division.
In the fall of the 2014/15 season Ožegović played for FK Jagodina and in spring for FK Borac Čačak . He scored a total of six goals for Cacak, including a long-range volley in a 3-1 win against his former club Jagodina, which secured him the prize for goal of the season.
In July 2015, Ožegović signed a three-year contract with FK Vojvodina Novi Sad . He scored seven times in the league for the team, including an overhead kick in the 2-0 win over FK Javor Ivanjica , which earned him the goal of the season for the second time in a row. He also scored two goals in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League , in the 4-0 away win over Sampdoria Genoa .
At the beginning of 2016, Ožegović moved abroad to China and joined the Super League club Changchun Yatai . In his nine games for the team, he scored no goal. On August 31, 2016, Ožegović signed a one-year contract with FK Čukarički . In the 2016/17 season he scored a total of 16 goals in 25 league games.
Partizan
On August 31, 2017, Ožegović moved to KK Partizan Belgrade . He signed a three-year contract and received the shirt number 51. He made his debut for the club on September 9, 2017 against Mladost Lučani . He scored his first goal for Partizan on September 17, 2017 against Radnički Niš in a 3-1 home win. He scored his first European goal on September 28, 2017, after a 3-2 home defeat by Dynamo Kiev in the second leg of the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League group stage .
On September 4, 2018, he moved on loan to the Russian Premier League club Arsenal Tula . Ožegović returned to Partizan in the 2019/20 season.
Darmstadt 98
On September 2, 2019, Ožegović moved to SV Darmstadt 98 , where he signed a two-year contract. He made his debut on September 15, 2019 in a 3: 3 against 1. FC Nürnberg , where he came on in the 60 minute. At the end of his first season with the lilies, he was in five games on the field and scored one template. The team reached fifth place in the league. On July 29, 2020, the association announced that the contract, which would have been valid until 2021, would be terminated by both parties. Ožegović justified this step with his short playing time, which according to the club would not have improved in the next season.
National team
Ožegović made his official debut for the Serbian U-17s at the 2011 U-17 European Football Championship . He then represented the Serbian U-19s at the U-19 European Football Championship in 2013 , where the team won the tournament. He was then appointed to the 2017 U-21 European Football Championship squad of the Serbian national team.
In September 2016, Ožegović played in the Serbia friendly against Qatar .
