Okongo is a village and the administrative seat of the constituency of the same name in the Ohangwena region in northeastern Namibia . The district borders Angola in the north . On April 1, 2015, Okongo lost its official settlement status , which was granted on July 15, 1999, and was elevated to village status on the same day .
Okongo is on the B10 national road , around 96 kilometers east of Eenhana and 120 kilometers west of Mpungu .
There is an airport in Okongo (international code FYKG).
