Oleg Alexandrowitsch Schatow ( Russian Олег Александрович Шатов ; born July 29, 1990 in Nizhny Tagil , Russian SFSR , USSR ) is a Russian football player .

Career

society

In 2007, Shatov moved from youth to the 1st team of FK Ural . Here he played for five years in the 1st division , the 2nd division in Russia. In January 2012, Shatov moved to Anzhi Makhachkala. He made his debut in the Premjer League , the first division in Russia, on March 18, 2012. In the 1-0 defeat by Lokomotiv Moscow , he was in the starting line-up. In the 2012/13 season he reached the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League with Anschi . In the summer of 2013 he moved to league rivals Zenit St. Petersburg .

National team

Shatov went through all of Russia's U-national teams . He made his debut for the senior national team on February 6, 2013 in a 2-0 win over Iceland . He was substituted on for Yuri Schirkow at the second half and scored the 2-0 in 66 minutes. Schatow was in the 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup . He played all 3 group games at this World Cup. He was eliminated with Russia after the group stage.

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Russian squad . He was in the starting line-up in the first two games against England and Slovakia, but then missed the crucial game against Wales with an injury. The team lost 3-0 and was eliminated from the tournament.
