Olivier Floris Johannes Siegelaar (born October 24, 1986 in Haarlem ) is a former Dutch rower who reached the Olympic final three times with the Dutch eight from 2008 to 2016 .

Athletic career

Olivier Siegelaar won at the Junior World Championships bronze medal in the 2004 quadruple sculls . In 2006 he finished eighth in a double scull at the U23 World Championships . In 2007 Siegelaar made his debut in Amsterdam in the Rowing World Cup , at the U23 World Championships in 2007 he finished seventh in a double scull. In 2008 he rowed in the World Cup in double sculls, at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing he finished fourth behind the Canadians, the British and the US eighth.

In 2009, the Dutch eighth won the bronze medal at the World Championships behind the Germany eighth and the Canadians . In the following year, Siegelaar took fourth place both at the European Championships and at the World Championships . At the 2011 World Championships , the eighth finished sixth.
