1932 Summer Olympics / Riding
At the X. Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , five equestrian competitions were held. The show jumping team competition did not take place.
dressage
For the first time in Olympic history, piaffe and passage are required in dressage . Only three teams take part in the dressage competitions, France, Sweden and the USA.

To take part in this competition, three show jumpers from each team had to ride through the course completely. Only Mexico, Sweden and the United States took part in this competition. Since at least one rider from each of these teams was unable to complete the course, no medals were awarded in this competition at these Olympic Games.
