André Jousseaume (born July 27, 1894 in Yvré-l'Évêque , Département Sarthe , † May 26, 1960 in Chantilly ) was a French dressage rider and officer . He took part in five Olympic Games and won as many medals.

His first participation in the Olympics was in Los Angeles in 1932 . There he won the team competition on Sorelta and placed fifth in the individual competition. In 1936 in Berlin he was second on Favorite with the team and again fifth as an individual rider. Jousseaume was most successful at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London when he won gold with the team and silver in the individual on Harpagon . He also tried eventing , but was disqualified.

Again on Harpagon he won the bronze medal in the individual classification in Helsinki in 1952 and reached fourth place with the team. At the age of 61 he took part in the Olympic equestrian competitions in Stockholm in 1956 (due to strict quarantine regulations, these could not be held in Melbourne ); at the end of his sporting career, he achieved places 5 (individual) and 6 (team).
