Heike Kemmer (born April 24, 1962 in Berlin ) is a German dressage rider .
Heike Kemmer holds a degree in business administration. In 1983 she won the runner-up title at the German junior championships with "Gottberg". In the same year she won the individual title at the European Junior Championships in Munich-Riem on “Lotus” and won with the German team. In 1985 she was able to win an elite Grand Prix for the first time with her horse "Lotus" and was appointed to the A-squad of the German national team. In 1984 she won the silver medal at the German championships. Due to her studies in business administration and her family founding, riding faded into the background in the next few years. In the early 1990s she moved from Berlin to Walle . She missed the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona due to strong German competition.
At the end of the 1990s it advanced to the top of the world. With "Albano" she won a silver medal at the German championships in 2000. So she moved back to the German A-squad and was nominated as a substitute rider for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . In 2001 a bronze medal in national championships was added. With Isabell Werth , Nadine Capellmann and Ulla Salzgeber , Kemmer won the team gold in Verden on “Albano 7” at the European Championships . Also in 2003 in Hickstead and in 2005 in Hagen she was, now with “Bonaparte”, a member of the victorious German European Championship team. In 2005 and 2006 Heike Kemmer became German champion in dressage.
At the 2004 Olympic Games she was on “Bonaparte” Olympic champion with the team. She repeated this success in 2008 together with Nadine Capellmann and Isabell Werth , at the same time she won her first individual Olympic medal with third place in the individual ranking. For winning the gold medal, she received the silver laurel leaf from Federal President Köhler - together with the team .
