Harry Boldt
Harry Boldt (born February 23, 1930 in Insterburg ) is a former German dressage rider .
At the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 1964 , he won the silver medal in dressage riding behind Henri Chammartin on Remus and was Olympic champion with the team. For this he was awarded the silver bay leaf on December 11, 1964.
Twelve years later he achieved the same success with Woycek at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal . In 1980 he ended his career and became national trainer for dressage. He held this office from 1981 to 1996. Under him riders have won 50 medals, including 31 gold. In 1989 he was awarded the title of riding master by the FN . In 1995 the FN awarded him the German equestrian cross in gold .
In 1978 Boldt published his book Das Dressur-Pferd . The state of Grenada / Grenadines issued a stamp with a rider and horse in his honor.
Boldt has lived in Australia with his wife Margo since the early 1990s.
