A baseball competition was held at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney . The venues were the Sydney Baseball Stadium and the Blacktown Olympic Center .

A men's tournament was held in which eight teams took part. With the Olympic softball tournament there was a corresponding competition for women.
