The road race of women in the 2012 Olympics in London took place on 1 August 2012 found.
The race was 18 miles, with start and finish at Hampton Court Palace . Kristin Armstrong from the United States secured the Olympic victory with a lead of 16 seconds over the reigning world champion Judith Arndt from Germany. Like three days earlier, the bronze medal in the women's road race went to the Russian Olga Sabelinskaja .
