The women's two-man rowing competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on Dorney Lake from July 28 to August 1, 2012 . 20 athletes in 10 boats competed.
The rowing regatta, which was held over 2000 meters, began with two heats. The first two boats qualified directly for Final A, the others had to go to the repechage . Here the first two boats qualified for final A, the rest made it to final B, in which places 7 to 10 were determined.

The final resulted in the first Olympic victory for a British boat in two without a helmsman. Helen Glover , Heather Stanning won the first gold medal for the host nation Great Britain with this victory. It was also the first British gold medal in women's rowing.
