The rowing competition in eight women in the 2012 Olympic Games in London was from July 29 to August 2, 2012 at the Dorney Lake held. 56 athletes in 7 boats competed.

The rowing regatta, which was held over 2000 meters, began with two heats. The boats in first place qualified directly for the finals, the others had to go to the repechage . Here the first four boats qualified for the final, the last boat was eliminated.
