The Switzerland took part in the Winter Olympics in 1960 in the US Squaw Valley with a delegation of 21 athletes, 14 men and seven women, in part.

It was Switzerland's eighth participation in the Winter Olympic Games since 1924 .

Flag bearer

The ski jumper Andreas Däscher carried the flag of Switzerland during the opening ceremony in the Blyth Arena .

With two won gold medals, Switzerland was ranked 8th in the medals table .
