Puerto Rico took part in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang with an athlete in alpine skiing . It was the seventh participation in the Olympic Winter Games and the first after the Olympic Winter Games in 2002 , when the participating bobsleigh riders were withdrawn from the Games after the opening ceremony. Charles Flaherty , who also acted as the flag bearer at the opening ceremony, competed in the giant slalom.
