The operational services GmbH & Co. KG (OS) is a joint venture between Fraport AG and T-Systems International GmbH . The company is a German ICT service provider. The OS operates information systems for customers and ensures system support and the availability of critical operating processes. OS operates centralized and decentralized standard and individual applications, network and other operating environments as well as cloud solutions from its locations in Frankfurt am Main , Berlin , Braunschweig , Dresden , Munich , Nuremberg , Senftenberg , Wolfsburg and Zwickau . The portfolio also includes the planning, support and control of outsourcing projects. The services performed on site ( on-premise ), remotely ( remote ) or in your own data center .
history
After gedas deutschland won the Fraport AG competition to operate the data center , networks and help desk in 2004, the joint venture began operations on July 1, 2005 as gedas operational services GmbH & Co. KG (gedas os) on. On January 1, 2006, the gedas “operational services” business unit with 240 employees was transferred to gedas os, before T-Systems acquired the shares in gedas AG on April 1, 2006, including gedas deutschland GmbH's 50% stake in gedas operational services from Volkswagen AG . After gedas Germany merged with T-Systems, on July 1, 2007 there was a change of shareholder for operational services, which was then renamed operational services GmbH & Co. KG on May 30, 2008. In 2017, sales were € 120 million with over 800 employees.
