The OPTIMA Sportpark , formerly Auwiesenstadion , is a sports field at the Kocher in Schwäbisch Hall .

history

For the renovation of the sports facility, which opened in 1949, the footballers of Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall and TSG Schwäbisch Hall founded a joint company in 1844 , which also includes the footballers of the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns . It was u. a. a partially roofed grandstand with 1180 seats was built, plus multifunctional event rooms, offices, and a fan article shop. The costs amounted to around 2.75 million euros. The Optima packaging group , which has been based in Hall since 1992, acquired the naming rights for at least five years.

The work was originally supposed to be finished in summer 2014, but was delayed. On August 29, 2015, the Unicorns, who have played in the Hagenbachstadion since 1984 , received the Stuttgart Scorpions in a game of the German Football League .

For the special needs of football players, the Optima Sportpark was equipped with a cheerleading room and large changing rooms in which attackers and defenders have their own wing and showers in the middle. The cabins are also used by the footballers from Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall.
