Ørjan Nilsen
Ørjan Nilsen (born June 14, 1982 in Kirkenes ) is a Norwegian DJ and music producer specializing in trance and progressive .
Life
Ørjan Nilsen got his first keyboard at the age of seven and practiced on it regularly. He finally got his first synthesizer at the age of 16 and a year later he started experimenting on the PC. At the end of 2004 he had produced some unofficial remixes and in-house productions and the trance community became aware of him via the trance.nu website .
2006 saw his first vinyl release Arctic Globe / Prison Break on Intuition Recordings . Arctic Globe eventually reached number one on the Dutch dance charts. In 2008 his production Be As One (La Guitarra) was released on Armin van Buuren's record label Armada Music . The production Between the Rays , which appeared on Armin's annual compilation A State of Trance 2011 , was also very successful . In June 2011, Ørjan's debut album In My Opinion was released .
In 2012, he was ranked 32 in the annual selection of the Top 100 DJs by DJ Magazine . In the same year he was nominated for “Best Break-Through DJ” at the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA). The award eventually went to Hardwell .
