history

In 1202 Duke Heinrich I of Silesia handed over the place Osetnice to the Cistercian monastery Leubus . The towns Güntersberg and Münchsberg emerged from this. In 1231 the Güntersberg church was consecrated. The court ( curia ) developed into the center of a Grangienwirtschaft and a provost office of the monastery in the Crossener Land . Shortly before 1530, the monastery gave up ownership of this complex.

In the 19th century, Güntersberg was in the Crossen district in Neumark in Brandenburg. In 1933 there were 1,253 inhabitants, in 1939 1,334.

In 1945 the place came to Poland.
