Oskar von Bezold

Oskar Karl Anton von Bezold (* 20th December 1874 in Munich , † 5. March 1934 in Sagan ) was a Prussian district administrator of the district of Usingen .

Education and life

Oskar von Bezold was born the son of Professor Wilhelm von Bezold (June 21, 1837 - February 17, 1907) and his wife Marie, née Hörmann von Hörbach (September 10, 1848 - December 10, 1900). After graduating from high school in Coburg in 1877, he studied political science and law in Berlin and Leipzig and completed his studies on March 16, 1903 with the first state examination. He then worked as a court trainee in Spandau and Potsdam and from 1905 as a government trainee in Liegnitz. After the Grand State Examination, he was a government assessor in the Wolmirstedt district and (after further training in the field of economics in 1910/1911) with the Hanover government. 1914/1915 he was representative of the district administrator of the Nienburg district.

Oskar von Bezold was Protestant and on January 16, 1909, married Erika Gertrude Therese Anna Karoline, née Hörmann von Hörbach (born March 17, 1879 in Brückenau; † after 1940/41), the daughter of the royal Bavarian chamberlain and councilor Ludwig Hörmann from Hörbach.

District Administrator

On June 26, 1915, Oskar von Bezold was appointed acting district administrator for the district of Usingen. He received his official appointment on March 6, 1916. On June 27, 1921, he was appointed District Administrator of Sagan County. He held this office until 1932 and then remained until his retirement in 1933 for a short time as district administrator of the Sprottau district , which was created from the merger of the Sagan and Sprottau districts .

MP

From 1917 to 1918 he represented the Usingen district in the Nassau municipal parliament . In the municipal parliament he was a member of the audit committee.
