Osterham is a district of the municipality of Laberweinting in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

location

Osterham is about three kilometers south of Laberweinting on the Bayerbacher Bach and five kilometers east of Mallersdorf .

history

Osterham is mentioned in the fief books of the Niedermünster monastery in Regensburg in the 13th and 14th centuries as "Osterhaim". The direction of the compass points to the east and can be seen as a settlement to the west near Niederlindhart. Until the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss in 1803, the Reichsstift Niedermünster was the largest landlord of the place. Also until 1803 Osterham belonged to the Kirchberg court . From 1804 the village was before the court of the royal district court Mallersdorf .

In 1890 Osterham counted 179 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 162. The place Osterham was up to the local government reform a district of the then independent municipality of Hofkirchen in 1972 resolved district Mallersdorf . On May 1, 1978 Osterham was incorporated with Hofkirchen to Laberweinting in the Straubing-Bogen district. The last mayor of the municipality of Hofkirchen was the Osterhamer Johann Schedl († September 30, 1997)
