Neuhofen is a district of the municipality of Laberweinting in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

location

Neuhofen is located on the Altbach about five kilometers southeast of Laberweinting in the Danube-Isar hill country .

history

In 996 Neuhofen is mentioned in the comitat of Heinrich Babenberg . Neuhofen formed a Hofmark , which was owned by the Pschorr from 1554 to 1578 and then belonged to the Rohrbach until 1590. Since 1580 the Rohrbach were also owners of the Hofmark Greilsberg, which was connected with Neuhofen from then on.

From 1593 to 1640, the two court brands belonged to the Schad von Mittelbibrach. On April 12, 1640, the Schad exchanged their court brands Greilsberg and Neuhofen for the court brands Traitersdorf and Allhausen. Their successors were the barons of Lerchenberg-Aham, who were followed by the barons of Closen and finally the princes of Thurn and Taxis .

In the municipal edict of 1818 Neuhofen was referred to as a municipality, but since it could not form its own administration and only had one village leader, it was added to the regional court municipality of Haader . With this Neuhofen belonged to the regional court, district office and finally the district of Mallersdorf and was incorporated into the municipality of Laberweinting on May 1, 1978 with the municipality of Haader in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria . At the end of 2012 Neuhofen had 89 inhabitants.
