Otar Eranossian ( Georgian ოთარ ერანოსიან ; English Otar Eranosyan * 20th August 1993 in Akhalkalaki ) is a Georgian boxer in the lightweight .
Career
Eranossian started boxing in 2002. In 2011 he won an international flyweight tournament in Lithuania and the silver medal at the European Youth Championships in Ireland .
In the elite class (adults) he was Georgian champion in 2014, 2015 and 2016. He is also the winner of the Feliks Stamm Tournaments 2014 in Poland , silver medalist at the EU Championships 2014 in Bulgaria and silver medalists at the European Championships 2015 in Bulgaria.
At the 2015 European Games in Azerbaijan he lost to Albert Selimov , and at the 2015 World Championships in Qatar against Timur Belyak. In February 2016 he won the Bocskai tournament in Hungary and defeated Miklós Varga in the final . In April 2016 he took part in the European Olympic qualification in Samsun , where he was eliminated in the round of 16 against David Oliver Joyce .
At the European Championships in 2017 , he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Pavlo Ishchenko . He qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , where he was eliminated in the semifinals against Lázaro Álvarez with a bronze medal. In the quarterfinals he defeated Elnur Abduraimov .
At the 2018 EU Championships in Spain, he lost to Sofiane Oumiha in the quarterfinals . He won a bronze medal at the 2019 European Games in Minsk .
He won his professional debut on August 28, 2020.
