Otto Maull
Otto Maull (born May 8, 1887 in Frankfurt am Main ; † December 16, 1957 in Munich ) was a German geographer and theoretician of geopolitics and professor of geography at the University of Graz . His main works are Political Geography (1925), Political Borders (1928), Regional Geography of Southern Europe (1929), Geography of the Cultural Landscape (1932), Anthropogeography (1932), The Nature of Geopolitics (1936), The United States of America as a Great Empire ( 1940) and Political Geography (1956). Maull was from 1925 to 1932, together with Karl Haushofer, editor of the journal for geopolitics .
Since 1943 Maull was a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences . His academic legacy is in the Geography Archive of the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography in Leipzig.
