Ottomar Stein

Ottomar Stein (born August 21, 1867 in Lichtenstein / Sa. , † March 15, 1958 in Königstein im Taunus ) was a German architect and builder .

Stein came from Dortmund when he moved to Honnef in 1898 . There he ran an architecture office together with the architect JF Happ and made the designs for a total of 32 buildings (including some villas ) in the up-and-coming spa town from 1898 to 1913, some of which he also acted as client . His most important projects include the Grafenwerth island bridge , which he built under his construction management, and the landscape architecture built between 1905 and 1911 at the Wintermühlenhof near Königswinter . Many of the buildings designed by Stein are protected architectural monuments .
