Outotec Oyj (formerly Outokumpu Technology Oyj ) was a Finnish company with headquarters in Espoo . It offers technologies and services for the metal and mineral processing industries and is represented in over 20 countries worldwide. Outotec has specialized in production machines and methods in the production process of metal and mineral extraction. An essential part of this portfolio are the processes for the preparation or metallurgical processing of ferrous and non-ferrous ores as well as the production of sulfuric acid , sulfur trioxide (SO 3 ) and sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ) etc.

The company is listed in the OMX Helsinki 25 stock index.

history

Outotec initially belonged to the Finnish company Outokumpu . Outotec was spun off as an independent company in June 2006 and was listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange on October 10, 2006 .

On July 1, 2020, the aggregates, mineral processing, metal refining and recycling industries of Metso and Outotec merged to form Metso-Outotec
