Neles emerged from the split of the Metso company after the merger of Outotec and Metso to form Metso-Outotec .

history

On July 1, 2020, the mineral technology division of Metso and Outotec (spin-off from Outokumpu ) merged. Metso was split into Metso-Outotec , as well as the rest of the company under the name Neles.

While Metso-Outotec includes the aggregates, mineral processing, metal refinement and recycling industry, the flow control area for the oil and gas, pulp, paper and bioproduct industries was formed on July 1st, 2020 into Neles.

The company is already listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and is in the OMX-25 index .

In June 2020, Valmet acquired 14.9% of the shares in Neles. Alfa Laval made a takeover offer for Neles Oyj on August 13, 2020.
