Píndaro de Carvalho Rodrigues , (born June 1, 1892 in São Paulo , † August 30, 1965 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian national football player and coach . At the 1930 World Cup he was the coach of the Brazilian national team.

career

Píndaro started his career in 1910 with Fluminense FC from Rio de Janeiro . Stayed here for two years before going to local rivals Flamengo. The player stayed with this club until the end of his career in 1922.

In the national team, he started in unofficial games when he was eighteen. In 1914 Píndaro celebrated his first international success with the Copa Roca . At the Copa América 1919 he was successful again. At the first football World Cup in Uruguay in 1930 , he was the coach of the national team.
