Carlos Alberto Silva (born August 14, 1939 in Bom Jardim de Minas , Minas Gerais , † January 20, 2017 in Belo Horizonte ) was a Brazilian football coach .

Career

Carlos Alberto Silva trained as a football teacher at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte . He is considered the coach who made it possible for the later national player Ronaldo to start professional football at the Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte in 1993 . During his career he was not only active in Brazil, but also in Portugal , Japan and Spain . The coach became national champions on three continents. For about a year from 1987 to 1988 he also looked after the Brazilian national team and the Olympic team.

After his career, he built up his own tourism company. The Ibiza Tourism company based in Belo Horizonte . At the time of his death, the Ibiza had a fleet of 23 Scania buses, as well as minibuses and delivery vans. With 40 employees, he offered the rental of vehicles and trips.

He was also active as a manager in football, for example for Atlético Mineiro in 2005 or most recently in 2014 at Villa Nova AC .

Silva was one of the honored people at the 100th anniversary of Guarani FC .
