The compartments are provided with ornamental brickwork in many variants. The entrance to the house was built in its current form in 1870. At the end of the 19th century, a shop and restaurant were installed on the ground floor of the building.

The restaurant was operated under the name Unter den Linden . After a renovation, from August 27, 1954, the name was Munzenberger Klause. In the restaurant there is a wall frieze painted by the Quedlinburg painter Karl Lempke , which depicts the Munzenberg musicians . The windows are decorated with lead glass motifs and are said to go back to the former regular guest of the restaurant, the Quedlinburg lead laser Walther Müller , owner of the Ferdinand Müller glass painting establishment . In 1984 the Seljamov family took over the restaurant.

In 1908 the painter Rolf Hartung (1908–1995) was born in the house. He also spent his childhood and youth here. A plaque attached to the house commemorates him.
