Pülsdorf is a district of the Upper Franconian community of Itzgrund in the Coburg district .
geography
Pülsdorf is located about 19 kilometers southwest of Coburg . The place is located on a flat eastern slope of the Itzgrund . The creek of the same name rises east of Pülsdorf near Eggenbach , a left tributary of the Itz , which is dammed up by a dam to form a pond and crosses the town to the south.
Pülsdorf was created as a closed village in the immediate vicinity of Lahm . It was a pure farming village. With the development of a new building area east of the center of Lahm, Pülsdorf has grown together with Lahm.
history
Pülsdorf was first mentioned as Bunselesdorf in the traditions of the Fulda monastery in the 9th century , which are based on a copy in the Codex Eberhardi from the 12th century. It was next mentioned around 1093. Around 1093, Bishop Rupert from Bamberg donated the “Bunselesdorf” settlement to Michelsberg Monastery .
The tithe from Pülsdorf came in 1661 to the Lords of Lichtenstein , who owned the manor in neighboring Lahm. In the 19th century, Pülsdorf was incorporated into Lahm. In 1862 it was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office in Staffelstein .
In 1870 Friedrich Pohla founded a brewery, which the Hümmer family took over in 1908. In 1955 the brewing business was stopped, later the inn was closed. Pülsdorf was the first village in the Itzgrund municipality to build a water pipe in 1892.
In 1875 114 people lived in Pülsdorf, which comprised 94 buildings. In 1925 the village had 79 inhabitants and 16 houses. In 1987 the village had 49 inhabitants and 15 houses with 18 apartments.
On July 1, 1972, the Staffelstein district was dissolved. Since then, Pülsdorf has been part of the Coburg district . In the course of the Bavarian regional reform , Lahm lost its independence as a municipality on May 1, 1978 and, like his district Pülsdorf, became part of the municipality of Itzgrund.
