Pāvels Doroševs (born October 9, 1980 in Riga ) is a Latvian football goalkeeper . He played in his professional career so far in Latvia and Azerbaijan . With Skonto Riga he was able to win the double of championship and cup twice in the early 2000s .
Career
society
Pāvels Doroševs began his career in the youth of Skonto Riga known as JFC Skonto . In the goalkeeping position he went through the entire youth department of the capital club. From the 2000 season he was part of the professional team. Behind Andrejs Piedels , the young goalkeeper had to be content with the bench as reserve goalkeeper. With a discount Doroševs was able to win the double in 2000 and 2001 , but was only used twice during this time. As a result, the talent was awarded four times within Latvia between 2001 and 2004. First from 2001 to 2002 for PFK Daugava where he stood 27 times between the posts, later for FC Dinaburg Daugavpils , FK Daugava Riga and FK Riga . After returning to Skonto , he played a total of 50 league games in the following seasons from 2005 to 2008 . In 2009 he moved to FK Qəbələ in the Premyer Liqası . In Azerbaijan, he completed 90 games in three seasons as a regular goalkeeper for the club from Qəbələ . After the end of the 2011/12 season he moved back to Latvia for FK Liepājas Metalurgs from the port of the same name on the Baltic Sea . After two seasons, Doroševs moved to reigning Azerbaijani champions Neftçi Baku in 2013 .
National team
Doroševs made his debut in the Latvian national team on May 22, 2012 in the 1-0 defeat by Poland . As reserve goalkeeper behind Andris Vaņins , he was able to win the Baltic Cup with the national team in 2012 .
