LEDA / PGC 40096 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble-type dEn in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 60 million light years from the Milky Way . The galaxy is listed under catalog number VVC 560 as part of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster. It probably forms a bound galaxy pair with NGC 4313 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3196 , IC 3208 , IC 3209 , IC 3239 .
