The PGO Cévennes is a two-door roadster from the French car manufacturer PGO Automobiles . The model premiered in 2008 at the 78th Paris World of the Automobile . The model is named after the French low mountain range of the Cevennes , written in French as well as in English Cévennes . The automobile manufacturer is based there in Alès .
The Cévennes is based on the P2 platform of the P22 Concept, which was developed the year before . The technology shares the Cévennes with the Hemera developed at the same time . The differences between the two models are in the structure: the Hemera is a station wagon coupé ( shooting brake ), the Cévennes a convertible with a retro look. The model is the Porsche 356A , which is why the model is often referred to as a replica .
The two models also differ in detail. The Cévennes has a different front apron , the exterior mirrors are on the A-pillar and not on the doors as in the Hemera. Both were constructed according to the modular principle . This saves considerable costs in production.
The Cévennes Turbo CNG
In cooperation with the Bavarian automotive supplier BRA GmbH from Schweinfurt and the Swiss Gasverbund Mittelland AG from Arlesheim , the special model Cévennes Turbo-CNG was created before the official premiere of the model . This is a production-ready version with a turbocharged engine designed for natural gas. It can be fueled with both biogas and natural gas . The turbo-CNG should be able to operate in a CO 2 -neutral manner if it is only fueled with biogas. The special model has so far remained a one-off due to the insufficient number of pre-orders. Series production in Schweinfurt is only to commence when there are at least 24 orders. It is also the first PGO model developed and built outside of France. The maximum range of the vehicle equipped with three tank containers is given as 450 km.
