Pamela Hensley
Pamela Hensley (* 3. October 1950 in Glendale , California as Pamela Gail Hensley ) is an American actress and author . She starred in several movies, including Two Dirty Scoundrels , Rollerball and The Naked Bomb . However, she became known from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s for her roles in popular American television series such as Dr. med. Marcus Welby , Buck Rogers or Matt Houston .
life and career
Pamela Hensley was born in Glendale, California in 1950. She made her film debut at the age of 20 in the Joseph L. Mankiewicz Western Two Dirty Scoundrels . She played other cinema roles in 1971 in John Erman's comedy Making It and the 1973 film drama Self-Portrait. Dissatisfied with the size of her roles so far, she signed a Universal Studio contract that same year , which she promised more career potential. She played the role of a model in the television series The New Treasure Hunt from 1973 to 1974. This part opened further doors for her in 1974 for engagements and appearances in television series such as Notruf California , Kojak - Einsatz in Manhattan or Der Chef .
Through her role as Janet Blake in the doctor series Dr. med. Marcus Welby , who embodied her in 24 episodes, made her breakthrough. After that, my career went steadily upwards. In 1975 Pamela Hensley played the part of Mackie in Norman Jewison's socially critical science fiction classic Rollerball .
