Pango Aluquém is a county and a small town in Angola .

Pango Aluquém (also Pango) is the seat of a district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Bengo . The district has 2,753 km² and about 49,500 inhabitants. Pango Aluquém was previously part of the Cuanza Norte province .

The neighboring districts, starting clockwise in the north, are: Dembos , Bula Atumba , Gonguembo , Golungo Alto , Cambambe and Dande .

Economy and Infrastructures

In the agricultural district, subsistence farming is mainly practiced , in particular cassava (mandioca), sweet potatoes (batata-doce), corn (milho), beans (feijão) and peanuts (amendoim).

Coffee cultivation, which was important before Angola's independence , has been increasingly practiced here since the 2010s. It is considered to be the most important development factor in the district, especially since the opening of the new asphalt road in 2010, which the place v. a. connects with the provincial capital Caxito .

As early as 2009, u. a. the district hospital, various school buildings and systems for drinking water supply have been built.
