Pardutz , in Lower Sorbian Barduc , was a suburb of the Stradow community in Lower Lusatia . The place was excavated in 1983/84 by the Welzow-Süd open-cast lignite mine . Pardutz's corridor has belonged to the town of Spremberg in the Spree-Neisse district since January 1st, 1984 . Grünerbaum or Bardutz was sometimes also used as a place name .

location

Pardutz was a single settlement on a road between Stradow and Spremberg. Surrounding villages were Straußdorf and Klein Buckow in the north, Cantdorf the east, Kochendorf the southeast, Roitz in the south, Topferschanke in the southwest, Stradow the west and Radeweise in the northwest. With the exception of Cantdorf and Kochsdorf, all of the surrounding villages sooner or later also fell victim to lignite mining.

history

The Vorwerk Pardutz was founded in 1725 as a customs house . The place name comes from Sorbian and describes a settlement on a mountain ridge . In 1753 the place was called Neue Schenke . Pardutz was on the border between Saxony and Prussia until Lower Lusatia came completely to the Kingdom of Prussia after the Congress of Vienna in 1815. The building was later used as the village pitcher for the nearby Stradow. This was called the Gasthaus zumgrün Baum . In 1844 Pardutz had ten residents. At that time the Vorwerk was parish in Stradow.

When the district was newly formed in the GDR on July 25, 1952, Pardutz came to the Spremberg district in the Cottbus district . On December 6, 1953, an agricultural production cooperative was formed in Stradow together with Pardutz . Shortly afterwards, lignite deposits were discovered in and around Pardutz . Until December 1977 Pardutz was used as a village pitcher, from October 1978 the building was used by VEG Roitz. In 1982 the Vorwerk was devastated by the Welzow-Süd opencast mine , today the former location of Pardutz is being recultivated.
